Free Download - Festival Submission(s)

Those of you interested in downloading the entire film in DVD5 or BluRay format may do so using Mininova.  It is free for distribution, viewing, and unlimited downloading.  This is the standard definition version, and a BluRay version will be coming to Mininova very soon.  Once you have downloaded this using the common BitTorrent protocol, you can burn the .iso image directly to a DVD-R or BluRay using Toast, or whatever CD/DVD/BD-R burning software you commonly use.

Furthermore, I wanted to let everyone know that this film has been submitted to the Sundance Film Festival for the short form competition, in addition to the Dance Camera West Film Festival.  Hopefully the film is successful at its start of the festival circuit.  Stay tuned for updates.

Description: Left Where It Fell was produced, written and directed by Andrew P. Alderete, an MFA-3 at The California Institute of the Arts in Film/Video.

Inspired entirely by the music of Rachmaninov, the story pushes symbolic visuals and hyper-realistic imagery to fortify the connective tissue between characters, and raise questions about the fundamental basis of reality and the dark sides of human nature. It’s also a celebration of music, and its relationship with image. There is no dialogue, and uses the musical score and visuals to contextualize the story with specific emotion.

Left Where It Fell is a story of loss, and hope. It is a story of memory and the truth behind emotions we can’t define. It mixes fantasy with reality, and raises questions about our own mortality.
